Are you ready for your next career challenge? The Leidos Civil IT DOT team is hiring for a Principal Cloud Engineer to support modernization efforts on the Department of Transportation Enterprise Information Technology Shared Services (DOT EITSS).
The Principal Cloud Engineer will manage cloud environments, possessing extensive skills and knowledge in cloud service provider selection, implementation techniques, application data migration techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
This position will be located in Washington, DC, with the ability to telework 2-3 days per week.

years of experience in information technology with a minimum of 8
years of focused, hands on experience deploying/configuring workloads within either AWS or Azure Experience Supporting all tiers of applications deployed in the cloud, configuring network, cloud native services, infrastructure, and privileges for development teams (AWS Accounts, IAM Users and Roles, VPCs, cloud native services) Experience Identifying opportunities for optimizing cloud consumption by the agency and providing strategic direction for addressing those opportunities Experience Supporting strategic cloud initiatives, such as TIC 3.
0, Zero Trust Architectures, and DevSecOps by providing architectural guidance Demonstrated proficiency with implementing and managing AWS services via AWS Console or CLI of AWS accounts, IAM users, IAM roles, VPCs, load balancers.
Demonstrated comprehension of scripting deployment of governance policies and security controls to either AWS or Azure at an enterprise level AWS Specific - Demonstrated experience with Control Tower, SCPs, deployment of stacks/stack sets, and cross account roles Azure Specific - Demonstrated experience configuring service principals for least privilege Experience Providing leadership to junior engineers to increase understanding of agency cloud environments Professional Architect Certification within either AWS or Azure

Integrating tools and technologies to the cloud environment to support enabling TIC 3.
0 Internet accessible workloads Developing scripts to deploy policies and tags for cloud environment management (using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, PowerShell, Python and Ansible, including use of remote Application Program Interfaces (APIs) Configuring Web Application Firewalls, CSP Applicable Distribute Denial of Service (DDoS) Tools, and Gateway load balancer endpoints and private links within cloud environments for network security Troubleshooting network configuration and generating reports for Palo Alto Next Gen Firewalls Configurating compliance tools to promote micro-segmentation YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE:
Demonstrated proficiency with implementing and managing AWS services via AWS Console or CLI of AWS accounts, IAM users, IAM roles, VPCs, load balancers.
